Stop the Spread:
Disease Prevention Strategies in Early Childhood Education
Take a look at how disease and infection can spread within childcare environments. We will learn proper hand hygiene, diapering and toileting procedures, and strategies to stop the spread of germs with young children. Participants will create action plans to improve the health and safety of their classrooms and/or programs.
Meet the instructor
Brooke Alexander
Brooke is a wanderlusting early childhood expert that has found a way to blend her passions through professional development. She brings her 20 years of experience as a teacher, program quality assessor, and quality improvement coach to provide a multi-faceted approach to each and every course. Brooke earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Science from The Ohio State University and a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Curriculum and Instruction from Arizona State University. She has lived all over the US, and her areas of interest include social-emotional learning, brain development, and supporting multilingual learners.
Brooke currently leads a nomadic lifestyle, traveling with the seasons, and chasing the sunshine.
