Participants will be able to design and implement a play-based learning environment that promotes cognitive, social-emotional, and motor skill development through messy play activities, tailored to meet the diverse sensory needs of all children, while reflecting on and adapting their teaching practices to enhance student engagement and reduce behavior challenges.
  2. Participants will be able to understand and implement the principles of messy play, recognizing its benefits for sensory, motor, creative, and social-emotional development, and integrate messy play activities into various classroom centers while maintaining a safe and engaging learning environment.
  3. Participants will be able to understand and address diverse sensory processing needs, implement messy play to support sensory development and minimize behavior challenges, and create an inclusive classroom environment that enhances emotional regulation, communication, and social skills in young children.
