“Bertelsen Education values the security of its learners. To ensure that your personal information is completely secure, only the administrative supervisor who has completed a security background check will have access to your information. If any other employee receives access to your information, you will be notified via email. 

To request your own information, you will be required to provide your bertelseneducation.com account credentials. For this reason, please be sure to keep your credential information secure.

Drug-Free Workplace Policy

Purpose
Bertelsen Education is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. This Drug-Free Workplace Policy outlines our expectations and procedures regarding the use of alcohol and drugs in the workplace to ensure the safety, well-being, and productivity of our employees.
Scope
This policy applies to all employees of Bertelsen Education, including full-time, part-time, temporary, and contract employees. It also extends to all company facilities, company-sponsored events, and while conducting company business off-site.
Prohibited Substances
The following substances are strictly prohibited in the workplace:
a. Illegal drugs or controlled substances, as defined by federal, state, or local laws.
b. The misuse or unauthorized use of prescription medications.
c. The use of alcohol during work hours, including lunch breaks, except where explicitly permitted by company policy for approved events.
d. Tobacco in all of its forms during work hours, including lunch breaks. 
e. Any substance that impairs an employee's ability to perform their job safely and effectively.
Responsibilities
a. Employees:
Employees are expected to report to work free from the influence of prohibited substances.
Employees are required to notify their supervisor or HR department if they are taking prescription medication that may affect their job performance. This information will be kept confidential to the extent permitted by law.
Employees must promptly report any coworker they suspect is impaired by prohibited substances.
b. Supervisors and Managers:
Supervisors and managers are responsible for ensuring that employees under their supervision comply with this policy.
They must take appropriate action if they suspect an employee is under the influence of prohibited substances, following company procedures for addressing such situations.
