How to Earn Your CEUs

Welcome to "Making the Most of Storytime: Using Children's Books to Teach Emotional Intelligence" by Housman Institute!

To get started, click the "Start Course" button above. Follow the prompts to create or login to a Bertelsen Education account and pay the CEU fee associated with the course.

Once you login to your Bertelsen Education account and pay the fee, you will be able to begin the course! 

At the beginning of the Bertelsen Education course, you will receive instructions on how to access your content within the Housman Learning platform (Housman Learning) using a unique access code that will be provided to you.

After you complete the course on Housman Learning, you will be directed back to the Bertelsen Education website (where you started your course) to complete a final learning quiz and download your certificate with CEUs.

  1. Identify the building blocks of emotional intelligence, the three steps of developing children’s Emotion Knowledge, and Causal Talk (CT)
  2. Recognize the importance of storybooks for children’s development of emotional intelligence
  3. Apply Causal Talk (CT) to support children’s development of emotional intelligence, emotion knowledge, and problem-solving skills using storybooks as a tool
