  1. Evaluate how emotion regulation and self-regulation develops in the early years as an outgrowth of co-regulation 
  2. Apply Causal Talk in the Emotional Experience (CTEE) and co-regulation techniques to help children deal with feelings in the heat of the moment 
  3. Adapt begin to ECSEL implementation techniques to address the individual needs of children enrolled in the classroom and their families 
  4. Provide scaffolding for children to develop their problem-solving and conflict management skills using the begin to MakePeace Corner and begin to MakePeace Table 
  5. Use begin to ECSEL language, tools, and techniques to anticipate and address challenging behaviors and classroom moments
