1. Listeners will understand the principles of trauma-Informed care and gain a foundational understanding of what trauma is, the importance of trauma-informed approaches in early childhood education, and how these approaches differ from traditional educational practices.
2. Listeners will recognize and respond to trauma in young children and learn how to identify signs of trauma in young children as well as acquire effective strategies for responding to their needs, including creating supportive and trauma-responsive classroom environments.
3. Listeners will lean to collaborate with families and practice self-care and learn the importance of involving families and communities in trauma-informed care, strategies for building trust with families who have experienced trauma, and methods for educators to practice self-care and build resilience while supporting children with trauma.
