What is the ECS Workforce Initiative Bonus Grant?
Using ARPA funding, the ELC of North Florida and Episcopal Children's Services is offering an employee bonus of up to $2,000 for staff who have worked at a center that offers VPK or receive School Readiness funds. Staff members must have been hired prior to July 1st, 2023 to qualify for the bonus.
Staff must complete 10 hours of training before May 1st, 2024 to qualify for the bonus. Learn more about how to apply for the grant below.

How to get bonuses for your staff
1. Complete an online application through your ECS portal
2. Select a training bundle from Bertelsen Education
3. Have qualified staff complete 10 hours of training by May 1st
4. Receive bonuses for your staff!
5. Report bonus distribution to ECS

How do I apply?
You will need to complete your application through the ECS website and your WebAuthor account. Follow the following link to login to your WebAuthor account:

If you already have an account, click the "sign in" tab and enter your login information.
If you have never created a WebAuthor account, simply click the "register" tab on the login box. Your account creation request will be approved within two business days and then you can begin your application.

Who qualifies to receive a bonus?
Any employee who was hired prior to July 1, 2023 and has worked at the same facility throughout that time qualifies for the grant. The facility must offer a VPK program or accept School Readiness funding and belong to the ELC of North Florida.
How much are the bonuses?
Bonuses will be based on tenure as follows:
· Less than 1 Year - $750
· 1 Year - $1,000
· Less than 1 Year - $750
· 1 Year - $1,000
· 2 Years - $1,200
· 3 Years - $1,400
· 4 Years - $1,600
· 5 Years - $1,800
· 6 Years - $2,000
Do I need to complete an application for each employee?
Yes. Complete an application through WebAuthor for each employee that you want to qualify for grant funding.
What are the training requirements to qualify for the bonus?
Qualifying staff must complete 10 hours of training before May 1, 2024 to qualify for the bonus.

What is the $50 down payment option?
To help your team get their bonuses faster, you can start training with a $50 down payment. The complete package price will be automatically charged 4 weeks after your deposit pay date.
What are the live training, parenting package, and monthly reporting add-ons?
Both bundles include certain add on services.
The parenting package includes courses for the parents of the children you care for. The courses cover key parenting issues like potty training, sleep, and more. Parents at your center are able to access the courses for free when you purchase either bundle.
The monthly reporting includes monthly training reports for all of your staff that will be emailed directly to you. This tool will help you manage training and ensure that all team members complete required training before the May 1st deadline.
The live training add on includes five live-remote training events that will be hosted by a Bertelsen Education team member via Zoom. Your staff can ask questions, participate in case studies, and create a well-rounded training experience that includes both asynchronous and live training.
